STEM. Culture. Adventure.

Camp Kauwela is a place for middle school students to learn, grow, and explore. Named after the Hawaiian word for summer, Camp Kauwela blends STEM education with Hawaiian culture to inspire students to discover new ideas and potential career paths. Through hands-on learning, students develop skills, connect with local stories, and deepen their understanding of Hawai‘i’s land and people. More than anything, they leave with a stronger sense of identity, heritage, and the power they have to make a difference—all while exploring how science and technology can help shape a better future.
